The race in Patagonia will kick off on February 20. The three major distances – 120, 160, and 200 km – will offer 15 PAX for the TOR330 - Tor des Géants® 2026.
After China, the TORX® eXperience ventures into the heart of Patagonia in the new year with one of the most extreme and fascinating races: La Misión, a mythical and wild trail scheduled from February 20 to 23, 2025., ensuring direct access without the need for a lottery.
This year, the competition strengthens its presence within the TORX® eXperience after its debut in 2024, offering 2 PAX reserved for the TOR330 - Tor des Géants® starting in Courmayeur on Sunday, September 14, 2025. The event features three distances included in the circuit created several years ago by VDA Trailers to unite major international trail running races that share the same values of endurance, adventure, and connection with nature – 120 km with 5,000 meters of elevation gain, 160 km with 8,200 meters of elevation gain, and 200 km with 10,300 meters of elevation gain. Finishers will have the opportunity to secure one of 15 PAX for the TOR330 - Tor des Géants® 2026, ensuring direct access without the need for a lottery.
"We personally know the organizers of La Misión because they have participated several times in the TOR330 – Tor des Géants® and we know how passionate they are about this sport," say Alessandra Nicoletti and Paolo Griselli, President and Vice-President of VDA Trailers. "Patagonia is one of the most stunning and incredible places in the world, and La Misión embodies this wild, untamed, and adventurous nature. We are thrilled to be partners of a race so aligned with our vision of trail running".
Nearly 600 runners have already registered for the three distances, hailing not only from South America (notably Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Ecuador, and Colombia) but also North America, Europe, and China. Registrations are open until the end of January on the website https://lamisionrace.com.ar/inscribirse.
Athletes will traverse routes crossing some of the most remote and pristine areas of the Andes, far from roads and civilization, through forests and lakes, in total self-sufficiency. There are no aid stations, and runners can access their drop bag only after 80 km for the 120 km and 160 km events, and after 150 km for the 200 km race. La Misión is not just a race; it is a full immersion into an epic journey through towering mountains, remote valleys, and breathtaking landscapes that celebrate the spirit of self-reliance and adventure. A unique opportunity for participants to live an extreme and unforgettable experience, perfectly in line with the TORX® eXperience spirit.
The race can be followed live on the website https://lamisionrace.com and on Instagram and Facebook.
