The race offers two long-distance challenges – 160 km with 10,500 m D+ and 100 km with 4,550 m D+ – and will award 10 PAX for the TOR330 - Tor des Géants® 2026 to its finishers.

Trail running in Portugal is ready to enter a new era. What was once known as the “Oh Meu Deus – Ultra Trail Serra da Estrela”, a legendary race set in the dramatic landscapes of the country’s highest mainland mountain, now becomes “Oh Meu Deus – Ultra Trail Centro Portugal”, kicking off a powerful phase of expansion and internationalization.

With a new name, new routes, unexplored territories, and a renewed spirit of discovery and global appeal, “Oh Meu Deus – Ultra Trail Centro Portugal” is gearing up to become a must-attend event in the international trail running calendar. A prestigious stage of the TORX® eXperience, international circuit created by VDA Trailers that brings together some of the toughest and most spectacular endurance races in the world, the race offers two long-distance challenges – 160 km with 10,500 m D+ and 100 km with 4,550 m D+ – and will award 10 PAX for the TOR330 - Tor des Géants® 2026 to its finishers.

Registrations are open until May 18, for the race taking place from June 6 to 8, 2025.

The race evolves to explore new territories, incorporating the stunning Serra do Açor and Serra da Lousã, in addition to the classic Serra da Estrela. This territorial expansion not only adds diversity and complexity to the race but also deepens the connection with the cultural and natural heritage of Central Portugal.

The 100-mile race will start in Lousã, known for its lush forests and technical trails, while the 100 km race will begin in the historic village of Piódão, ending in Seia, which remains the central hub of the event. Shorter distances will also start and finish in Seia, maintaining its role as the event’s beating heart.

More than a sporting event, the Oh Meu Deus – Centro de Portugal is an immersive experience. Participants will run through iconic Schist Villages, Mountain Villages, and Historic Villages, each trail step revealing breathtaking scenery and centuries of tradition. It’s a journey that blends endurance with discovery, demanding not only physical strength but also a deep respect for nature and local culture.

“We are thrilled to renew our partnership with the TORX® eXperience,” says Paulo Garcia, CEO and Race Director of Horizontes. “This collaboration combines Horizontes' expertise in organizing trail events with the strength of TORX® with Kailas to create something even greater. Together, we aim to innovate, reach new athletes, and enhance the sporting experience. This partnership represents not only growth but also a renewed commitment to the development of trail running and the promotion of our landscapes, traditions, and culture. Strengthening this collaboration means reinforcing a shared vision: offering authentic, exciting, and accessible experiences, where sport becomes a vehicle for connection between people and with the environment around them.”

“The renewed ‘Oh Meu Deus – Ultra Trail Centro Portugal’,” explain Alessandra Nicoletti and Paolo Griselli, respectively President and Vice-President of VDA Trailers, “fully embodies the spirit of the TORX® eXperience: connecting territories, communities, and organizations that share the same values of respect, effort, discovery, and a passion for the outdoors. Strengthening this bond is a source of great pride for us and a strategic step toward an increasingly international and cohesive network. We want the TORX® eXperience to become not just a race circuit, but a true alliance among entities that believe in organizational quality, sustainability, and the enhancement of their territories. The growth of the project in Portugal, the new format, and the strong cultural identity of Oh Meu Deus go exactly in this direction.”
